Pre School Program: Preschool Dress Code

First Baptist School seeks to honor God by adhering to Biblical standards of modesty for its staff and students.  Elementary and middle school students wear a standard color and style of clothing as our uniform.  Preschool students are not bound by the uniform code, but should be dressed in ways that promote Christian morals and values as well as the opportunity to be active in learning and play times.  Wearing the school uniform properly starts with a desire to honor God and serve others.  Students are urged to embrace the “spirit of the law” as they determine whether clothing they have selected falls within the uniform guidelines.

Students are expected to be in uniform from the time they enter the facility until the time they leave it, including before and after school care.  Students not in correct uniform will call home and either clothes must be brought for the student, or the student must be dismissed for the day.

  • Clothing should be loose, comfortable, and able to be played in.  If dress clothing is needed for special activities, such as school pictures, please send a change of clothing for the remainder of the school day so that the student may play unhindered.
  • All clothing should adequately cover a student’s body.  Shorts and skirts can be no more than 2 inches above the knee.  Tank tops, tube tops, and halter tops are not permitted.
  • Sneakers are required for physical activity, such as Physical Education class and outdoor play.  At other times, shoes selected should have non-skid bottoms for safety on tile floors and closed toes to avoid tripping and other mishaps.  "Flip-flops" and "Jellies" are not permitted.
  • Clothing which displays names, slogans, or pictures of monsters, rock stars, occult figures, or any form of violence, including professional wrestling, is not permitted.
